Thumbs up. I hope the river is not filled with mosquitos and snails too. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Dataman at Apr 6, 2012 2:56:14 AM] |

Well I missed all the fun. Yesterday the silly machine decided to grab 2 WCG WU in projects I am not really wanting work and not in my preferred projects list. I have the give me other work if projects I want don't have any work. Makes me want to shoot BOINC because I had done a team push in Primegrid it got its tights in a wad and grabbed extra in all my projects due to debt. I now have 3 projects with 150h+ WUs and doubles in everything but prime and then the silly thing puts one in high priority.
----------------------------------------I have BOINC set to only have a 2h cache and connect interval. I love BOINCs logic at times. Edit spelling the second time [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Apr 6, 2012 6:16:46 AM] |

No problem uplinger. Just the usual whining. I have boinc contact the server @.5 days in hope I get a better chance of snagging betas. I'll get them sooner or later. Got lucky being the 1st GPU wu crunched here. Keep up the great work you do at WCG. I'll try to keep the whining to a minimum. Maybe this will help. Good one Nanoprobe. Heck, I'd send the man a case of beer if he could steer more my way . I'll just sit here (impatiently) and wait my turn.
Crunching for humanity since 2007!

My 3 Beta WUs on an i5-750 ran in 2.89, 2.89 and 2.91 hours. Checkpoints when I looked were occurring about every 2 minutes. The memory load was about 270MB.

On my "Results" page there are 3 Beta showing for my Linux laptop , but...
I only got 2 of them BETA_ cfsw_ 0000_ 00000018_ 0 is showing as in progress but there is nothing there. Lost out in the Ozone somewhere I guess. The other 2 ran OK on Linux (6+ hours) but much slower than on Win7 (4 hours) |

No CPU-based betaWU here. Is 0.9days_connect-every and 1.1days_cache the wrong bait to use to get a CPU-based betaWU?

Thumbs up. I hope the river is not filled with mosquitos and snails too. Looking at the error log it would appear that the river is full of ticks... |
