Please note that this is a large beta test with the number of work units sent out. If you have any issues, they could be due to a bad target, if so, please post the work unit name and the stderr that you see in your results status page. Thanks, -Uplinger |

I've received two. Since it's just new targets being tested, it's not surprising that these are running hotter than other sciences, just like regular DSFL (had to go down to 40% CPU time to get reasonable temp). Otherwise running OK so far.

Keith,
Does this beta testing of a new targets for DSFL infer that the upload/storage issues to Colombia have been resolved? Meantime, fired up the old duo laptop to *help* test ;>) and these project the jobs out to 73K seconds. By the the time they finish, the stock will have gone for sure and hibernation of the device is resumed [it is set to do that when idle]. --//-- |

I don't know the state of the storage/upload issue, that is a question for seippel and/or the researchers.
These work units are running on average 1 hour each. And currently there are still 16,000+ results to send. So they have been sending for 2 hours and over 4,000 results have been sent. You can probably estimate another 6-8 hours of work to send out. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Keith, Does this beta testing of a new targets for DSFL infer that the upload/storage issues to Colombia have been resolved? --//-- Yes, a new server has been set up in Columbia which we have already sent the backlog of results to. Once we have enough information to get sizing for these targets we'll build additional batches and return the project to it's normal priority. Seippel |

That's good to hear,,, then, just speaking for meself, I can set all VINA sciences back to free mix when you confirm. Else, extrapolated at present pace DSFL would have ended into the next century ;>)
