Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 56 smilesmile

My problem is that I am reading too much news and it all seems to be bad.

I forgot what story I read last week, but it was actually a happy story and had nothing to do with politics!

We need more of those.

On another note, I have still not received any WU's for the GPU HCC project. :(

Edit: I just noticed that my snail turned orange! LOL

coffee coffee coffeeGood Thursday Morning Team coffee coffee coffee

The GPU work units for HCC seem to be as scarce as hen's teeth. I got 3 back on the 16th of last month and have been asking for them ever since to no avail. I suppose that it does not help that I have a NVIDIA GPU. sad

I finally decided to let my GPU go idle rather than continue at GPUGRID. Hopefully we are getting close on more HCC GPU Betas and Real WUs.

Everyone Have a great day.

Great The IRS is gearing up to enforce Obamacare. Just what we need. There seems to be no end to Government growth. What happens when everyone in the country works for the Government? They (governements) are all growing faster than the private sector. Has the majority gone insane!!??

No the majority hasn't been paying attention--Back in the day I had three beauty shops a pet store and a painting remodel business--with all the regulations and taxes and forced health care there is no way i could do this now--Big business is in cahoots with the govt.(fascism) so they are basically destroying small business making the unemployed depend on the govt so more votes for the Socialists/communists/progressives can stay in power---i am just a dumb ass country boy if i can see it i don't understand why everyone else cant. But i i better shut up!! (edit) Oh i forgot forced workman's compensation-8.5% for painting--if you don't spray paint--liability ins.for the idiots that cant walk straight--7.65% fed taxes--1.45% medicare--per each employee, then you have state and county fees and taxes-- after that they count every piece of equipment it takes to do the job and tax you on that--i cant say whats really on my mind!!

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 56 smilesmile

coffee coffee coffeeGood Saturday Morning MOT coffee coffee coffee

Today is another workday for me; but that is good. Helps me put a few pennies back for GPU crunching when the time comes...it is coming right??

It seems our governments growth is inexorable. I look at your country David (as you know I lived there for a few years), and the rest of Europe and see that those aging societies seem to have, through politicians seeking re(election), slowly become more and more socialistic. It stifles individual initiative and achievement of even the most brilliant. Of course those things still happen there but it is so much harder than it was in decades long past, when individuals and groups of individuals were much freer to act and try new things - even make money that they did not have to give to the government so the politicians could buy more votes.

The USA just started later and now, that inexorable entropy is developing here, likely for the same fundamental reasons. The laws and rules and politicians and governmental workers continue to accumulate; not adding anything to society but actually slowly weighing it down. From what I can see (and this is a personal perspective), this is perhaps the major flaw with democracy in the modern world. If we could somehow just throw out all the laws, government agencies and politicians periodically; a sort of reboot of democracy, we might be better off. Don't get me wrong, I believe in Democracy, but only because the other forms of government seem worse. It just seems that freedom in a Democracy seems to be self erosive.

Please note that this is just my personal opinion.

Oh well, I need to get to work. That is what I got up early to do.

Everyone have a great day. Your days are numbered (as are everyone's) so do your best with it.

I think that some of you mix up democracy and run away capitalism.
The greedy capitalist and their lobbies pervert the democracy.
Socialist trend can only slowdown the greed of those who wants everything.
What would happen if all the money was in the hands of a single person?
