I'll be posting today's results tonight. It will be on or after the 8th that I'll post the stats for tomorrow, March, YTD and April thru that point.
----------------------------------------RT, thanks again for grabbing the data while I'm gone. Everyone, don't forget the outage planned for the 5th for the file system update. Also, be sure to keep things active here. This is a great opportunity for our lurkers to break some new ground!  I'll go ahead and give some YTD info now: We're at 103,833,115 points for the year. That's 1,166,664 points per day on average which means right at a 427 million point year at this point. We've already surpassed our 2007 and 2008 efforts and should surpass 2009 before the end of April and 2010 in early summer. |

Good Morning MOT Congratulations dkt! And what about 2011? I am thinking that our points/credits thing is going to change dramatically once/if the GPU project(s) get started. Everyone have a great Saturday today. I've been hoping to get some of those GPU wu's, but no luck so far. I was reading the GPU forum, and some of those people are getting quite a few of them. I was hoping there was a trick to getting them, but I guess it's just a matter of luck. Plus, it looks like the beta wu's are in HCC and I don't have that selected as a project, right now.

I am not totally certain about the below, but I am thinking. You have to have betas turned on and you have to have the GPUs thing turned on. Additionally if you have NVIDIA based cards, you, like Gerald and I, are on the short end of the stick...most of the WUS are not for NVIDIA cards. And, you have to ask for work units often. Now I have met all these criteria and I got 3 WUs back on the 16th and nothing since. |

Well, RT, I have more than a couple of questions about graphics cards used for GPU processing. I also got some feedback from Steven (son) who basically said that NVIDIA set the standard for GPUs. He also said that some graphics cards have more than one processor - what does this mean regarding GPU processing? Now for the questions:
----------------------------------------1. What does "the GPUs thing turned on" mean? 2. Where (and how) do you get the GPU drivers for the NVIDEA cards? 3. Will GPU processing work with my Lenovo laptop? 4. Is there a level of the graphics card that will not work with the driver? 5. Will current CPU processing work at the same time as the GPU processing? 6. And finally, how do the tasks get assigned to the proper processor (GPU or not)? If you want to give me a tag to the GPU forum to answer some of these questions, that would be fine but I just don't have the time right now to look for it unless it is the GPU Support Forum.
