Darn, didn't see anything about the outage whole week as I was busy at work. Oh well, it is what it is...

There are still quite a few people listed as viewing an error message under 'Who's Online'. One hour ago I was getting error messages when trying to read the forum, but I left and now I'm back, turned the pc back on, and before logging in, my own userID appeared in Who's Online as currently viewing an error page, but I simply logged in and the forum works fine for me now.

In case anyone is curious, we have completed the backup of the database, installed the MySQL 5.5 rpms and we are currently restoring the database. About 10GB of the database has been restored and there is about 60GB worth of data. We estimate about another 5-6 hours at the rate it is going.

I was about to post the famous "I love it when a plan comes together!" of John "Hannibal" Smith when this forum had a serious hiccup probably caused by current operations.

The restore is complete, and we have validated row counts for each table from before and after the update. Now we have some additional validation to do. Getting closer.
