Re: gpu useage for crunching

No Beta WU's of any kind since mid December. Waiting in line with everybody else. Good luck to all. I have not gone to POEM yet. I'll check it out when time permits.

Re: gpu useage for crunching

Yoro42, you could use that GPU at POEM now.
Available for AMD/ATI OpenCL1.0 capable GPU's (4000series to recent). Up and running for Win and Linux. For Win you need to have a recent Catalyst driver (11.11 and 11.12 are known to work). You also need Boinc 7.x (the Beta version). NVidia does not yet work there, and will be OpenCL1.1 (recent drivers will be required).

Yoro42, also keep in mind that POEM GPU units right now require a big portion of a CPU processing core. So, you would have better results there dedicating a core to the GPU. However, you would be taking that CPU core away from here too. YMMV

Coleslaw, I've checked out POEM but I've got to stay w/ WCG for now. Thanks again for the link. Rory
