Ha, I know how you feel (never had much chest hair myself either). But ain't it the truth, that which is once ridiculed, given enough time, can become that which is desired!
Speaking of coffee and hair, I'm always telling my three grandsons that my coffee will "burn the hair off their tongues" and to let it cool first. One of 'em stuck his tongue out and said "Papa, do I have any hair on my tongue"? These little guys are my "joy in life" and really crack me up. My oldest grandson (9yrs old now) began munching coffee beans when he was only 3 and he still does it today. When I crack the seal on my coffee jars to make coffee, he is right there with his hand out. ![]() |

Mornin' DC Captains...is that you Punchy behind the curtain?
When I get some time, I want to work on a graphic for a t-shirt for our Crunching team. I've pretty well worn out my home-made Folding t-shirts. Those iron-on kits are inexpensive, do work, but don't hold up as well as the screen printed professional methods. I've always hoped that sporting a DC-related t-shirt would also help get the word out. My experience with recruiting people (friends and family) has been that most of them just don't find the time that we do for this kind of effort. It has been rare (one person that I've met) when someone actually gets interested enough to actually take action. I feel that as much as recruiting people helps, it is even more important to offer to help them get setup. So on those cards you're making make sure there is something about "help to get started"! |

Noope sorry Tex... was me. Forgot I was signed in poking around and investigating options available. Not used to having two or more personalities I guess!

OK silk-screening, rubberized inks, peel-off stickers, I'm thinking it is you Viper!

Yup... good guess... there Tex! Trying to get a handle on the whole process and seeing what the Captaincy status can do... frankly the options available are dismal.
Ah well, back in my own skin now. And we have a post from the captains! |

And we have a post from the captains! I rather enjoyed that. Gives a sense that the leadership is involved and active. Recommend at least 1 Team Captain post on team updates, even if it is only team ranking and production, once a week. IMO. ![]() ![]() |

Hello Team Mates!
I'm so pleased to see we have - not a Captain - but EVGA DC Captains. The plural part thrills me no end. Could I ask for a group photo, please? I had visitors this weekend, and on Wednesday I'll leave for trip for a week in my matchbox car ![]() to Sweden and Norway and as a consequence, my verbose and crunching participation may suffer a bit and be sort of sporadic. A long, long time ago I bought a ticket for Bruce Springsteen's concert in Oslo on July 21, and I expect also to be present at the memorial concert they will have in the Central Square in Oslo on July 22 in memory of the victims (72 altogether) of one madman's bombing and shooting. I have been a member of a Facebook support group ever since this took place and on this trip I shall visit two friends - one in Trollhättan; she will show me the spectacular locks and maybe the SAAB Museum (car and fighter plane manufacturer) there, and in Oslo I look forward to meeting the founder of that support group. She will join me for both of the concerts. ![]() Bruce Springsteen has had fabulous reviews ever since he started his Europe tour in May in Barcelona. In an Amalfi, Italy, ceramics shop I visited in May I spoke with the young sales woman who had her laptop playing his music, and she couldn't wait to go about 1,000 km/750 miles north ticket in hand to Florence to listen to him live. We have a Hungry Heart for him in Europe - and that particular piece of music has a very special meaning to me. |

Good morning LM. Sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun. Not particularly a Springsteen fan myself (early heavy rock and heavy metal are my likes) but still a good show. Be safe, be some what good and have fun.
