I don't know if this terrific news is related to the work done here by the volunteers, but there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel..

I don't know if this terrific news is related to the work done here by the volunteers, but there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel.. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-62797776 It's not. Different institutions and the work we did was not about developing a vaccine. Plus, I contacted Dr. Perryman sometime last year (might have been 2020, actually) and lack of funding, etc, prevented further progress. IIRC, the TB research didn't find any better possibilities (at taking down the lipid barrier) than those already on the market. Malaria vaccine big advance against major child killer
----------------------------------------A cheap malaria vaccine that can be produced on a massive scale has been recommended for use by the World Health Organization (WHO). The vaccine has been developed by the University of Oxford and is only the second malaria vaccine to be developed. Malaria kills mostly babies and infants, and has been one of the biggest scourges on humanity. There are already agreements in place to manufacture more than 100 million doses a year. https://www.bbc.com/news/health-66985273
