I'm not sure if this is the best place to pose my question, mods, feel free to move to a better section if you think it's appropriate.
----------------------------------------I see this morning that since midday yesterday, my current ranking has dropped from a slowly rising ranking of 315 to 342. That seems to be drastic since the only change I have made to my rigs is to *increase* the amount of threads available. Has there been a hiccup in the system, or have nearly thirty other users had their rankings re-evaluated upwards in the past twelve hours? EDIT: More information available here. Global Stats Points yesterday went from ~400M to 5,065,314,274 Looks like either a bunch of "super computers" were added or someone got a whole bunch of extra points.

I don't see anything weird yet on BOINCStats in the WCG section, but in my personal stats there is a "-26 since daily update".

I don't see anything weird yet on BOINCStats in the WCG section, but in my personal stats there is a "-26 since daily update". You are not good enough as a detective.  Several members have got millions of credits since the latest BOINCstats daily update! They are not easy to find since the daily numbers shown in the lists are those (normal) of the daily update, but when you can pinpoint some teams and/or members and you look at their individual page you will see very impressive deltas since the last update. For example I have found a small two-member team which has + 64,850,151.44 credits since the last update, four times its normal total! One member has got + 46,367,501.18 and the other + 18,482,522.59! A pretty good day for that team! Obviously something has went wrong during the stats by points and they will have to be rerun. However the DST change should have nothing to do with it theoretically since WCG runs in UTC. But who knows?... |
