... and you'll get my congratulations when you do. DSL problems have hurt my points over the last two days, so you'll pass me a little sooner than you would have otherwise. Thanks for your contribution to the team. smile smile smile

Hmmm... I only got 18K+ points today and I noticed that my PVs increased by about 10. But I see that put me less than 8K behind you. Tomorrow should be the day I pass you. I have also been having some problems with the laptop giving me a blue screen, but I haven't checked the desk tops to see if they have any problems (sometimes they get stuck at the "ready to report" point).

If that laptop is hot you can carefully clean the heat sync with canned air. (Be careful not to over-spin the fan.. I learned the hard way). I also often use a cooling rack for baking to give the laptop unrestricted airflow from below. Alternately you can get a laptop cooler. I just ordered a new one that has movable fans to allow you to customize the fan placement to match the laptop.

I don't think heat is the problem. I got the blue screen several times this morning after starting the BOINC manager and it was not too long ago that the fan and cooling assembly were replaced.
