Re: Looking for survivors to join Team "The survivors"

No trips planned at this time.

Our team finished 7th in both challenges.

Yes, there were more than 7 teams signed up.

I think the numbers were 49 and 56 teams.

Might do a few from time to time, just for something to do.

Re: Looking for survivors to join Team "The survivors"

I just had a 4-5 day U-verse and AC power outage.

Thanks Irma!

It put a dent in my stats.

It can be caught up.

Hello little mermaid!

How was the hiatus?

Missed hearing from you.

Base camping is a good thing, it certainly helped this team get on the map.

Awful.
Nothing personal. Nobody heard from me for years.
Will do some Base Camping as well as we can without our castle which was demolished. Have no strategy yet... maybe a Facebook group?
deltavee showed up in Minnesota.
I'm on I 95 en route to NYC now.
How is the current (electric) situation in Georgia?

Hi, LM.
Great to hear from you.
I've been following your travels up and down the east coast.
You've been to places i haven't seen in all my 39(+) years.
Now if i could only get Captain RCC to take the team to Disney World like he promised...
Regards biggrin

Hello, grumpygrampy smile
Thank you for reading the Base Camp Journal Bulletin
- so Captain rcc has not arranged that Disney World trip yet!
That means there is time for me to be included, if I schedule some Base Camping with your team, would you think?

Re: Looking for survivors to join Team "The survivors"

Dear LM

Georgia survived Irma, but we lost everything in our freezer and side-by-side.

No problem, will just buy more.

I have been to Disney, it is overpriced and overrated.

If I wanted to go round-and-round until I am dizzy, that can be done in my office chair.

Glad you are back at WCG.

The world needs someone like you.

Did you notice that Minnesota Crunchers is ranked 56 at WCG and The survivors is ranked 125?

That is quite a jump for us.

Please keep spreading good will everywhere you go.

Don't know about the rest of WCG, but we love you.

Still it's an expense and bothersome, too. If you had a generator, would you have been able to buy fuel? Is this kind of damage something that is covered by say a home insurance? Optional maybe?
I have been to Disney, it is overpriced and overrated.

I agree (sorry grumpygrampy). I'm sure we could find places right there in Georgia when the peaches bloom. What would you recommend?
Of course we could also go to DC or NYC. I should be happy to volunteer as our tour guide.
Don't know about the rest of WCG, but we love you.

My sincere thanks for your more than kind words, rcc.
I feed on them like some women do on diamonds.

I think it must be a pain in the neck for the some forum members seeing so many posts from me. Still enough crunchers of all stripes liked the Base Camp concept well enough to play along.
Let's see what we can whip up in this new era. Things are changing fast, aren't they?

Re: Looking for survivors to join Team "The survivors"

Hi, LM
Welcome back to the team. Always glad to get visitors.
I see you just went to Germany. My grandaughter is there on an internship
for a year.
Although not a drinker, we hear she's been to Octoberfest 5 times in the past week.
So much for career building.
Cheers.
