Finally got my ruby badge in CFSW... hard to get badges for that project with work units less than 1 hour long. I don't get that many of them, since it is not my exclusive project. I found out the hard way that I don't like to make one project exclusive if I'm not watching all the time, because if the WU's stop flowing for some reason, then I end up with all kinds of WU's I don't really want; since I have the box checked to send me WU's for other projects if there are none available for my selected projects -- don't want to end up crunching nothing when someithng goes awry with the projects I've selected.

So i let the pc run all night (not something i normally do), and about 1:30am ran out of CFSW work units. So BOINC sat there the rest of the night with nothing to do (and no download requests) 'til i woke it up with a manual 'update' this morning.  Grr! |

They've been having intermittent problems with uploads and downloads for a couple of days now. It doesn't really matter which project you've selected, you might have run out. I've run out twice in the last couple of days.

thanks, nasher I know it's my own fault if i run out of WU's. Just wondering why BOINC doesn't recognize it has no work to do, and go and ask for some. (just like my kids)  |

Well... it actualy IS asking for work, but the server isn't giving any
 I've increased my cache, since they are still trying to diagnose the problem and it is likely to continue happening (happened again this morning)  |

And apparently it is still happening on July 26.
