Wow! I just got 3 HCC GPU BETA's.
In true abacus tradition, they all failed. The GPU is ATI Radeon HD5770. |

I seem to recall that with the first few batches of Betas I had some like that with the output file absent and some passed and some failed.
----------------------------------------Looks like the NVIDIA CUDA code is good and now they are working on ATI. It does not take much CPU time and the GPU Betas run one at a time along with 8 CPU tasks.

Sory I have been silent lately, I've been doing a lot of traveling. Just got back from a week in England on business and I now hope to stay home and crunch for a couple of weeks before I have to leave for a wedding

It's always good to return home from a trip. Welcome back.
I once bought a souvenir tea cup at Gatwick airport during a layover. Dragged that thing everywhere, and when i got home, found we already had that exact one. oh well. |

I bought a London 2012 (Olympic) cup, so no chance of having a duplicate
It is very good to return home, although it was rather nice to be somewhere where the temperature never got above 70 the entire time I was there (very nice after 104 at home). The downside is that it has rained for 6 weeks straight, with no end in sight. Hopefully there will be some sun for the Olympics. |

I leave tomorrow for a 2 week trip.
----------------------------------------Mother Nature tested my UPS systems yesterday. I have 5 PCs, 1 laptop goes with me and 4 desktops will run 24/7 if there are no unforeseen events. Do not want to lose 112 days of run time but will not crunch on the laptop while traveling. I have remote access to the 4 desktops from my laptop and iPhone. Might have a chance to check the forum but am uncertain about WIFI access for the laptop. Could type in from the iPhone but find that frustrating at times. When the iPhone works - as opposed to crashing - it is painfully slow. I need a new Android phone so I can get more processing power and speed.

I don't have a UPS, so I don't leave my home computers running when I am away -- too many thunderstorms this time of year. My power went out today for 1/2 hour and the home computers went down hard and stayed down until I got home. Don't want that to happen too often!
