Re: Beta version 6.19 Aug 30, 2011

I had during the night 4 Betas on my Notebook with XP.
All 4 had the same error.

Re: Beta version 6.19 Aug 30, 2011

Well version 6.19 is the most successful from my point of view, the first out of the last three beta batches without errors on my windows 7 64 bit and vista 32 bit machines.
No errors; 9 valid; 6 pending validation and one resend still running.

@elRonaldo: I had same problem as well, but it was a firewall issue. The firewall asked me if it should allow the process BETA**** to start (probably it was the first time it have seen this process) - but it was middle in the night and I was sleeping sad
I think you have similar situation. (By the way, my firewall is COMODO)

Re: Beta version 6.19 Aug 30, 2011

Hummmmm...
I am running 2 beta tasks together with 6 HFCC tasks on an 8 core 64 bit Wintel machine.
While I cannot prove that it is the betas, my machine has nonetheless become extremely sluggish, while I am doing my other stuff on it (nothing unusual).
Does anybody else observe performance problems?

Probably a stupid question but do you have enough RAM memory?
Because HFCC uses quite a lot of RAM and 6 at a time plus the betas which also use some RAM might be the problem.

Firewall or AV is my guess...

Same here with Comodo.
If there's a way to allow in advance any executable based on it's location (say \ProgramData\BOINC\projects\www.worldcommunitygrid.org) I haven't found it. Even if there is a way I wouldn't do it myself;)

Cheers coffee

Not a styupid question at all ("Stupid" is catching a speeding ticket while approaching a red traffic light!)
My machine has 6GB RAM. These days I am frequently running HFCCs at the same time without problems.
The two betas have completed overnight, and the system is slug-free (with 8 HFCCs active).

lol

then the betas are still buggy or don't like HFCC

Re: Beta version 6.19 Aug 30, 2011

Total jobs = 13
Valid = 9
Pending Validation = 4

My system (i7 980 W7) is also very sluggish which is NOT normal. I have 17+ GB free memory and 7.2GB memory used. I had 4 ( 3 have since finished) Clean Energy Project jobs running. After the 3 finished I suspended the last one. System still sluggish. My Firefox 6.0 browser has a update I will install after I restart FF. I suspect a reboot will correct the problem. I Before I do anything is there something I should look at to help isolate the cause?
