Sekerob, I had those settings to begin with, so those won't work, however andzgrid idea works.

Yes, that slider thing was mentioned in first post...
... a network connection slider in the ''Options'' screen of BOINC Manager, which you can set to zero,


This is how support threads get longer than they have to be and confusion mounts.. you did not ask. There's the Preferences and Options in the menu, which under 6.12 have now moved to from ''Advanced'' menu to ''Tools'' menu on options renamed on the go to ''Display and Network options..."
