Just got 5 more CEP2 Betas (biggest files downloaded at 33 to 66 KBps for the ones I saw and monitored).

Yes, one of my machines finished a CEP2 beta earlier today and two others have had a beta each in the last hour - hopefully more to follow on the other machines overnight....I've got Silver in my sights now......

Also picked up some more CEP2 Betas on several systems.
PS. Looks like the number of these you get is determined by the number you chose to crunch in your profile, but I might be jumping to conclusions. Come to think about it, someone might even be testing this. Anyway, I got 5 Betas on a dual core that was already crunching 2 CEP2 tasks, and on 2 other systems (i7's-HT) I also picked up 5. |

finally caught one on the d/l. pretty consistent after about 10 minutes of watching.
----------------------------------------Now, I have both the quacx files going- for a time diff, the 6.40 is at 26:51 elapsed time v2.zip is averaging 11 to 13kBs, 6.40.zip averaging 12 to 21kBs, but 6.4 has sticks every once in a while sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes for maybe 30-40 seconds. No retries, I'm going to quit watching so I don't jinx it;) |

Tested and confirmed. I had number of units set to 12 and it ran up to that limit on two machines. One is a quad, no HT, one an i7 w/HT. As for the download speeds, the bottleneck is my connection at about 30KBps so the server appears to be doing much better. Distributed computing volunteer since September 27, 2000 |

One of my windows machines picked up 8 cep2 beta's all at once. The transfers are still downloading and after 26+ minutes now, one is at 70% with an average of 26.75 KBps (60.34MB file)...and the other is at 26% with an average of 11.31 KBps (66.16MB file). They are still downloading, just VERY slowly.
