IMHO the WU will get "No Reply" and after return you'll get credit. AFAIK there is a grace period between 'No Reply' (and return after deadline with credit) and 'Too late' (no credit). Does anyone know what the grace period is? I just had a HPF2 beta finish past the due time and go into PV. After some time (over an hour, I believe), it changed to "Too Late". The job already had quorum, so I wonder why it bothers to put it into PV first? Just to get my hopes up? I know the Error ones have been changing to full credit. It will be interesting to see if Too Late does too. Could it be one day? This night one (HPF2) WU was reported nearly 27 hours too late, turned into "Too Late" and remains in that state (another task of that WU was reported even later than mine and remains "Too late" as well). Three hours later another one reported about 23 hours too late and turned into "Valid". |

"Grace" lasts until the results are assimilated and removed from the live DB. Since the main slowing is driven by the scheduler, the drive to complete that is substantial. Clean water does not last 24 hours after validation, Clean Energy maybe 48 hours. For HCMD2 it's probably longer because of the batch structure. HCC I've in a recent drive not seen stay on for longer than 24-36 after validation [IIRC] "Too Late" is a pathway employed to get it lined up for credit when e.g. wingmen are missing [re-distribution held for selected tasks]. To answer latakia, no idea other than knreed writing on Friday that he'd continue to check out the BETA CEP2 download issue. Some saw extreme slow DL speeds [but one, had up to 1Mbps for them]. We'll learn when the time is there. --//-- These are the easiest posts to get me totals up ;>) [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 5, 2011 7:49:03 AM] |

I also have 3 WUs that got returned too late due to very short deadlines:
BETA_ faah23197_ ZINC06136246_ x1HHPxtl_ 02_ 0-- BETA_ faah23197_ ZINC13150931_ x1HHPxtl_ 03_ 0-- BETA_ op943_ 00003_ 12-- Is it possible to turn them into valid somehow? :) |

Any tasks I had that were categorized as Error are now gone, and I have no tasks IP. Down to 8 No Reply, 8 Too Late (2days worth), and 15 PV (about 5days worth). Not that I'm complaining; 79days worth of Betas took me to 200days.
It will be interesting to see what happens during the midday-ish update. |

The midday-ish update has been in for 30 minutes... nothing but the last trickles as the office has not opened up yet :D

I tried to validate PV results, and now I don't get no longer the 'Try validation' link again. 5 CEP Betas are in there- 2.5 days. Time for a new badge color. Yes, once you've done the TV, it takes a while before that link comes back again, probably not until the next stats run. Bit silly to hit it again when it's already been instructed to take seat in the validation queue. We know it's no bug since knreed said he'd freeze this test. Starting the BETA validator(s) again would initiated the recirculation of possible broken tasks too and that would not be desirable, now would it?

Thought the midday-ish was 2pm UK time? The above details are from the overnight updates.
Not many Beta changes/trickles in the update for me: Still nothing in IP and no Errors. Still 8 tasks in Too Late. Still 15 PV. The No Replies did fall from 8tasks to 6tasks and I'm down to 90 Valid tasks listed, but that's about it. Guess I'll just have to wait a few more hours to know if I get any more β credits |

And yes- I know, that the test was frozen- but both WUs of all results (replication 2) were returned- so..... |
