Well, on the back of getting my Sapphire globe, my gaming PC will be taking a rest for a bit, as it gave me a SMART Event warning on boot-up earlier (patch-Tuesday), so a disk may potentially be on the way out (it's RAID-0 so that'd mean losing the entire array).

HCC has a new progress report - here
----------------------------------------Interestingly it says inter alia: Processing of all work units is nearly complete, with just a few weeks remaining .......Meanwhile, the end of Help Conquer Cancer will not be the end of our involvement with the World Community Grid. We are busy developing a new project that will search for p rognostic and predictive signatures (sets of genes , proteins, microRNAs, etc. ) that help predict patient survi val and response to treatment . The project will target multiple cancers.
