Re: UK

I've only just discovered something....

I never bothered to look in side the 1st i7-3770k system I purchased, I did today, just out of interest only to discover that the Mobo they gave me wasn't the one the company was supposed to put in it sad

No, it turned out to be a much better one that comes with 3 PCI-E ports (ASROCK, not MSI as advertised) biggrin ... so I'm now running my back-up HD5450 for general pc use (finally, no screen flicker or lag), and 2x HD6570's (with 2x GPU's running on each card), biggrin, also discovered that it also come with a 6 pin connector on the power pack, so if the mood takes me in the future (for other GPU Projects???), I can buy a vastly more powerful Graphics Card biggrin .

Weird thing is, I purchased a 2nd i7-3770k from the same company (the one I wrote that needed to go back to the company), and although it was the same price, the Mobo & PSU are inferior to this one, they were supposed to be precisely the same (both specced as per the 2nd purchase, not the better 1st purchase).

Shame I didn't discover this before, it won't make that much of a difference due to how much longer the project has to go, but for future reference, it's nice to know (even better to not have screen lag on my main system... Ummmmm) smile

Would this be a suitable "more powerful Graphics Card"? wink

Re: UK

Yes, possibly those who have had great gains because they have been getting great scores from GPU tasks will slow down. The community that have good GPU technology, usually have good high end machines, thus will not suffer too much when this current set of HCC (GPU) units come to an end. They will still be best placed when a new science project need our GPU's to work

Re: UK

Congratulations Soong and Maugan

Lowest lumchcrunch since 1 Mar!

... Hopefully just sign of Pending Validation queue rising (as often seen whenever a project gets close to completion) and we will get a massive PB Soon.

Thanks Ian_UK.

But it seems my Pending Validation has dropped over the last couple of days. Maybe there will be a lot of more pronounced peaks and troughs before we say good buy to HCC.
