I'm afraid I have a bit of not so good news, once I have reached 5 years on DSFL (currently ay 4 years 186 days), I am going to be raining in my crunching sad

I won't be stopping completely or leaving the Team, but I will be dropping back to just 2 systems running at any one time.. I have had my wife moaning at me over the Elecy costs for some time now, but our bill is now topping £100 per month and I can't afford to continue with bills like that.

When ever the grid decides to finally release new projects, I'll be going full steam ahead to get the 2 years on those projects, once that is achieved, it'll be back to 2 systems only.

On the plus side (a case of "Wait and See"), I should be starting Management Training in the short to medium future, if and when that happens (due to the large wage increase), I'll be looking at getting Panels on the roof and then restarting 100% again, but that won't be for some time yet (assuming I pass?).


That is very dissappointing news indeed. Have you considered a divorce???

Your contribution to the team in both stats and keeping the team forum alive has been significant to say the least, and you are a tremendous asset to the team.

On a plus side, it may give me chance to regain pole position for all three stats in the team once again. Not that I am jealous or anything!!! biggrin

Given Soong has rocketed up to 156mil Points with his GPU setup, and HCC still hasn't finished with its GPU WUs, I'd say that might take a "little" while! wink

A red letter day indeed as crooks_uk "crunch when idle" machines turn in a new PB RunTime 62:09:01:22 replacing a previous PB which had stood since 23-09-12! biggrin

That would be an understatement. Lets just say I will be playing the long game!

I am still amazed at just how quickly I was overtaken. At the time, I thought Thargor would be the 1st to pass me. Just goes to show how quickly things like GPU projects can change the team dynamics. Just a shame that my workstation NVidia GPUs were not supported, as I could have added about 12 of these to the fleet.

Down in the depths of the UK team the member formerly known as Indy1 has changed names to Ari1 Last active Mar 2012, he might have at least crunched a result to make the time spent worthwhile! grrr! monkey


Ari1 has logged new activity smile together with adoades biggrin The latter has a good record having crunched 2:011:22:28:18 for the UK team since joining in April 2012.
