Re: UK

Evening all.

My output has been down a smidge due to having a new hdd in the works computer. As I didn't know when it would turn up, I had to stop receiving new tasks until it arrived. Arrived today and all back up and running. Shame the cpu wasn't upgraded whistling

Anyhow, time for a cuppa and a wagon wheel, they do certainly seem smaller these days. Ooooo, I remember when all this was just fields and you could buy a bag of chips for a few pence and didn't have new fangled computers back then........................

and whilst eating them, catch up with news items you might have missed! sad

Explanatory note for our younger members: Chips were often sold wrapped in old newsprint.

Re: UK

Morning Team smile

I remember the days when a can of coke cost 16p and a loaf of bread was 22p and more importantly, we were on an electricity meter and 50p would last for 2-3 days (and when the meter was emptied, we would get a 25% rebate of what ever was in the meter) sad

50p is probably used up in about 2-3 hours now (good idea to privatize, it's really kept prices down crying (end sarcasm)), scary thought is that the Prison System is next and then the NHS (American Insurance System of Health Care, here we go sad ).

Re: UK

Had five beta-FAAH workunits, yesterday. Would be nice to finally have a badge for Beta Testing, just under 4 days of RT to go for that...

Re: UK

My scramble to achieve Ruby for Computing for Clean Water has come up short at 0:360:03:04:56 all WUs having been processed. crying

I've picked up no resends since the tap ran dry so I guess thats it. sad

I missed that post blushing , there may be a chance they wish to do a little more on C4CW so don't lose hope just yet, that badge may still arrive, though it may take a while (fingers crossed for you), if they do need a bit more done, I've got the amount I wanted, so I won't be doing any, that'll help to free up a few for those still needing badges smile
