Question - At the same time as starting a new thread for the team might we consider changing the team name?
---------------------------------------- I've noticed themoonscrescent refers to us as Team UK and Team GB appeals to me. Thoughts?(Change of team name appears possible probably by email request to admin. Germany recently changed to Deutschland - Germany) Opening post of a new thread: What would be seen on the threads summary page: Join the [ b]UK[/b ] team, the largest, friendliest and most active British team on WCG Join [b ]Team UK[/b ] the largest, friendliest and most active British team on WCG Join [b ]Team GB[/b ] the largest, friendliest and most active British team on WCG (all options 81 - 85 characters and despite saying avoid formatting, I think it works). |

Welcome back to the Team Maugan
---------------------------------------- I am happy with a new Thread being started as I am with a Name Change, what ever the majority wants is okay with me (Team GB does have a nicer ring to it). ![]() ![]() |

Nice to see you in the forum Maugan and welcome back to crunching. Out of curiosity what mchine/graphics card do you have, what BOINC version and are you using app_config.xml? jonnieb-uk: I have two computers running, one 24/7 with an AMD card in. The second has given about 66% of points while doing about 35% of run time, it's a Z77X-UD5H mother board, 16GB PC3 12800 RAM, GTX670 (my points generator) and a i5-3470 at stock speeds. I'm using wcg_boinc_6.10.58_windows_intelx86 taken off the WCG site. I've seen mention of the config files but I've not had a need to really try and make one yet. |

UK Team All Time Records
----------------------------------------RunTime A new AllTime RunRime record brings with it the long awaited achievement of a 7day Average Runtime per cd 366.1 (1:001:02:02:33) unaffected by system problems. Huge congratulations to all members of the UK team - those whose individual achievements feature regularly in this thread and those unsung heros who crunch away in the background day in, day out, We couldn't have done it without you. ![]() The new target for measuring the UK team's growth is to reach a 7day Average RunTime of 10,000 hours per calender day (equivalent to 1:051:16:00:00) |

I think we should keep team UK, unless there's any compelling reason to change to GB... part of our identity! I would also steer clear of the formatting in the first line, as I agree with the original sentiment that it really does not look good in the thread lists. |
