uplinger WCG tech:
----------------------------------------We have updated the science application for Help Conquer Cancer. This application change will allow work units to process multiple images. The purpose of this change is to increase the average runtime of the work units and decrease the server scheduler requests. This will be a two part change. 1. The application will be released and process single image work units. 2. In about 3 days we will start sending multiple image work units. The application version being loaded is 7.05. User comment: I am getting over 200 BOINC credits per task (compared to app. 30 per for old version 6.56 uplinger response: This is probably just the application adjusting. It takes it a few results to settle down to the normal levels. My first 7.05 took about the normal time to run and sure enough Claimed/ Granted was 30.4 / 297.4 !! Get some while you can. ![]() |

Hit with another power cut last night, most systems restarted themselves soon after (not sure how???), but still lost time, about time the energy companies sorted this, their getting more and more frequent... Usually have less than 1 per year, we've had 3 this year so far, getting annoyed at it.
