----------------------------------------You pulled a lot of blood out of turnips! I'll be more specific also. I'm from a very small island (which has no name) in Naples, Florida. I was never going to live on the coast of Florida......after reading "Condominium ." (By the master, John McDonald.) But Naples is lovely, so we succumbed. I NEVER wanted to live on an island...after reading "Condominium," either. We lived in Naples for 10 years, then decided it was time to buy a condominium, and can you believe...found one we liked.... and, honestly, I didn't know it was on an island til a couple of workmen started talking about "how quiet it is on the island." "Island," I thought...of yeah the 2 bridges..... That should have been a clue. It's manditory that we evacuate during a hurricane. And we do. And we had bad damage during Wilma. Dearest olivia, What is it with condominium? Is it the word? Is it the concept? Funny how life plays tricks on you. And funny how we can have a lot of prejudices that are totally deflated when push comes to shove. I'm so glad you kind of slided into liking it, and I hope you'll not have to deal with too, too many hurricanes on that little island. You should give it name, shouldn't you? Well, your index card indicates you hail from the USA, but doesn't tell you are from Washington State. there are alot of people out there who do not wish to be tracked or traced or located That must be for a reason. They would have a hard time pulling that off in my country where the government loves to know us all real well.I take it you are not among the low-profile-people. Would it be something that would put you at risk of being "tracked or traced or located" if you put "Washington" in your "My Forum Profile"? |

Yes, I noticed a good while ago.
Pleased to meet you txyankee. I noticed, because it puzzled me. To me tx and yankee indicate, well, Texas and the North East. But you have made an interesting cross with Milwaukee. Is that deliberate? That yellow flag with the rattler and the warning I also saw at GeraldRube's. What does it mean? |
