I hesitated to buy the rest, for civil harmony reasons and then boom...they found that chipset problem and Newegg (which had the best deal on the combo of the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7 and the 2600K) quit selling them. May have been a blessing in disguise. I've read that many people have been having issues with that board and many others. That's one reason I stopped trying to tweak mine any more. A bios update disabled my PS/2 optical mouse and made it less stable when overclocked and there was no way to go back to a previous bios version. Hopefully the manufacturers have had time to fix some issues while waiting for the new chips from Intel. Edit:> nanoprobe, what project(s) are you running on that 2600K? This box is currently running HCC, C4CW, DDDT2(when available) and betas Edit2:> What operating System? It's currently running Win7 Pro 64 bit. When the replacement boards come out I plan to switch it over to Dotsch/UX Linux. By then I will have a few months of Windows stats to compare. I'm hoping the new C4CW compile will return a comparable number of points. No biggy if it doesn't as results in memory of mom are why I do this.

Everyone Have a Great Sunday!! ![]() I would have run Dotsch on this from the beginning but I could never get it to connect to the internet on the P67 board. For some reason it doesn't see the router and even trying to manually configure it failed. I posted questions at the developers website but no response since the 14th. I'll probably go with a board that has PCI support when the replacements come out. That way I can throw in an ethernet card if I have the same issue.

----------------------------------------I was looking at my profile, its like another life, I don't want the last few years back!! But some good times: I remember when we were like number 5 in the listings, our big fights with the slashdotters!! Its all coming back now. How glad I was to get to 100,000, then 500,000 it was unbelievable. Good to be back ![]()
