shirish,
When you try to get CEP2 tasks on windows next time. Please select to only get CEP2 work units in the "My Projects" pages. Also, make sure the check mark towards the bottom for "If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project." is unchecked. This will allow some more information in the messages tab to be recorded when you press update next time. Should give an indication on why you're windows box is not getting CEP2. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Thanks, -Uplinger Ok, came back to the Windows side of things and tried all the things. I actually did everything. I changed the project so only CEP2 is being selected, de-selected everything. Also did in fact tell that give me 5 days of work but got no additional work. Strange. Please see below :- 29/12/2010 23:58:44 World Community Grid update requested by user As can be seen, it simply did that and carried of as nothing has happened. There is one curious setting in the profile which I don't know how to read or how or what to change Workunit Cache Settings Looking forward for answers. When you press update, it does the scheduler request...then updates the preferences as shown. You need to press update again for it to try to get 5 days of work. The client tells our servers how much work it wants to download. So on the first update it still only knew about your old settings. Please give that a try and see what happens.

----------------------------------------30/12/2010 01:09:37 World Community Grid update requested by user I just don't get it. I don't have 5 days of work so I don't get it. [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 29, 2010 7:46:38 PM] |

[OT] FYI, all the edits I did in this thread are explicitly for formatting purposes. I don't know how the code looks in your browsers but most of the time it looks dull on mine. So usually make the font-size large. [/OT]

formatting looks ok. How many tasks do you have in your task list? I would recommend aborting all the work units you have not started yet, then suspend the ones that have been started. Once this happens, try the update again. See if the "Not reporting or requesting tasks" changes.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

Note: will NOT request new tasks if ANY suspended status

hmm.... guys, give me couple of days on this. I have some work on the GNU/Linux side of things, then will come back and abort all the remaining WU and make it completely blank and then we will see.
Btw if I were to uninstall and install again, where do all the apps. reside? I don't want to download again those applications which are already downloaded. |

Btw if I were to uninstall and install again, where do all the apps. reside? According to your log, you're using: "Data directory: E:\Application Data\BOINC" under windows. On re-installation it's just to make sure you've selected the same data-directory. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. But then just think of all the mistakes I don't make, although I might." |
