Questions About Teams

Can a person join more than one team?

What is implied by joining a team. Does it change the amount or types of processing you do? Does it change anything, or is it just a website bookkeeping thing?

Re: Questions About Teams

only one team at a time, just allows people with similar interests/locations/jobs etc to get together for a combined score, as in "Look Team Mississippi is ahead of team alabama" ;)

There are some interesting asnwers for this question, like this ones:

1 - Yes, if you consider the person that could create more than one WCG ID, so you can join with multiple ID's, in more than one team each at sametime, and probably without limits if you have more than one ID. But it won't be easy to manage once two or more ID's will consume more time from you, and results will not be consolidated in just one ID.

2 - No, if you consider just keep one ID for the person, once you will at most participate at sametime in just one team. but ... (see 3)

3 - Yes, if you consider just keep one ID for the person, and considering that at sametime with just this one ID, you can't participate in more than one team.

In this way, and with just one ID you need consider that you must spent at least, some time of crunch work, enough to return at least one result during the time that you are participating in a specific team, and that this time could be less than one day of work in each team (will have a lot of work to manage and change it from times to times), so you can consider that you can participate in more than one team, many in fact, according your preference but will need manage this and it will be crazy...

Good look ! good luck

Re: Questions About Teams

What happens if a member uses only one ID,
then joins a different team and alternates between the two about once a week or once a month...

Does the '[retired]' status simply update to active, or is a new entry (with the same ID) created as an additional member in the team?

Re: Questions About Teams

You can retire and become active under the same ID at any team as often as you like.

One Caveat: The contributions for the day go to the team you're a member of at 00:00 UTC
