Totals on Results Status Page

I would like to suggest a total of CPU time (and BOINC credit) and total count of all results returned on the Results Status page as determined by the 3 filter parameters shown on that page. praying

Cheers coffee

Re: Totals on Results Status Page

That is the grand total for entire World Community Grid effort. I just would like to see a total for my specific results query.

Re: Totals on Results Status Page

Can you give us an example of what you are trying to do with it? The only thing I can think of is if you were wanting to see stats for individual devices. Otherwise, your total for all machines is already on the link Falconet posted.

Re: Totals on Results Status Page

I believe what they want is a total cpu time/points on results status pages. ie if I select HCMD and Pending Val, I get a list of all HCMD jobs in pv status, with a total cpu time/points for that list.

Re: Totals on Results Status Page

Thanks fredski. You are exactly right. I (and probably many others) have been tallying the total hours of jobs in PV status manually for quite some time. This can get time consumining if there are many pages of jobs. This is a task that the computer is quite suited for.

There would be uses for the other status categories (possibly to verify that the total is changing), but I think that PV would be used the most.

Re: Totals on Results Status Page

Yes, for badge hunting, and reaching totals/milestones it would be useful.

Of course if there was a system so that crunchers could set a target online it would be even easier:

If, for example, we could tell the server we want to crunch for 1year for HCC, 2years for HFCC and after reaching these totals we would then crunch for HPF2 and CEP2, both for 2years...

Anyone just wanting to crunch continuously could just enter a null value (0), which would get ignored, or a very large number such as 500years.

When we reach a target we could be sent an email, or a target reached message could appear on our My Grid page.

How often, if feasible, would you like that information to be updated on the live pages? Each time you hit Filter or F5, going from page 1 to page 2 etc, when the noon and nightly stats refresh? Would you like a NOT option added maybe so that you can exclude the Valid for instance to get a sum of Inconclusive/Pending Validation/Error/Invalid, in short all tasks that did not have a grant of credit yet?

Just throwing out some considerations to add to the target Result Status page objectives of skgiven.

edit: oops, forgot, you'd only want those totaled in, including validations since the last stats update of course else you'd be risking of counting yourself too rich ;>)
