I manage a large network and would like to make its resources available to certain BOINC projects. To my knowledge, the only way to do this is to have each workstation communicate directly with the BOINC project.
I have some security concerns that would be addressed if there was a BOINC server application which I would then run on a dedicated machine. This machine would function as that liaison between my network and the BOINC project. All of my workstations would report in to the dedicated local BOINC server. The local BOINC server would then report back to the BOINC project on a daily basis. It would upload the previous days results and download new work which would then be distributed locally to workstations on my LAN. Thoughts and opinions? |

Hi NickFranzo,
----------------------------------------This type of arrangement has been discussed previously on the forums. Best in this is to contact WCG on their support@worldcommunitygrid.org mail. Describe the outline, resource and typical daily uptime of the clients and then someone will get in touch with you on the details if doable and effective. cheers and thanks for offering.
WCG
