Hi,
i was wondering wether it was possible to implement some kind of downtime planner for a single device. I mean since i won't be turning my desktop pc on for a while (while on vacation for instance) i'd like to notify the scheduler beforehand (within days) not to send (or plan to send) further work units to that particular device. Ideally by the time i turn it off all remaining work units would have been completed and reported. Kind of a "vacation mode" or something like that. At the same time my always-on home server would keep on crunching though. |

Yes, you can do that. In the BOINC manager, select the Projects tab. Then click one of your projects. A button called "No new tasks" should become clickable. If you participate in other projects besides WCG, do this for all projects. You won't get new work units until you click to allow them again.
