Did you download the WCG version of boinc? If so, you could try uninstalling it using Add/Remove Programs and install the recommended version from Berkeley.

You are welcome, and glad to hear it worked.

This is the second time in a week or so that it has been reported that WCG's version cannot connect to localhost, but the stock Berkeley version works.

Sekerob has just told me:
There is a note out on the developers forum saying that a mail was send to WCG and Berkeley developers on this. Seems to happen only with the 6.10.58 WCG compile.

So this is definitely going to be looked at.

I noticed the Berkeley was 400K larger...

I am just happy to be going again!
