We also had a little farewell celebration yesterday for Sule as she is about to leave for her professorship in Ankara.

The altmetrics for our recent CEP paper are in the top 5%. Not bad. http://www.altmetric.com/details.php?domain=p...g&citation_id=1864247

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We learned earlier today that our recent EES article has been included in the weekly RSC Publishing press pack, which is sent to science journalists. The press pack will be sent out sometimes today. This exposure of our project and research is awesome: The CEP as a distributed volunteer project and the CEPDB as a community resource live from public awareness, so this is more than appreciated - it helps us being successful.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We have the MRS Fall meeting in town this week and this always means that loads of people come by to visit us. It's awesome! Yesterday we met with Prof. Mark Lusk from the Colorado School of Mines (he also gave a talk on excitonics), Prof. Volker Blum from Duke, and Dr. Matteo Cavalleri from the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry. In addition, Roberto Olivares-Amaya - one of the old CEP warhorses - is here for a short visit to help out on the revamp of the molecule generator. So, we have a full house and lots of exciting discussions.
