Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Another big house cleaning on Ms Piggy - we are now postprocessing a huge batch of workunits that were held back for the time being as they showed problems at some point or another. But they started filling up the storage, so we deal with the problems later.

Moving forward with the next Jabba's - 750TB is just not enough for the Clean Energy Project. Onto becoming a petabyte project!

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We are starting to plan for Johannes' departure from Harvard in January and trying to organize how he can stay involved in the Clean Energy Project from Buffalo.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Johannes gave his last group meeting in the Aspuru-Guzik Group yesterday. His presentation was titled "High-throughput quantum chemistry and Big Data techniques for the rational design of organic photovoltaics" and it reviewed what we have done in the Clean Energy Project over the past few years, presented the most recent results, and discussed the things to come in the future.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

We did a bit of a Q&A with Chemistry World which will discuss our recent paper in Energy & Environmental Science.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Apparently, amidst all the recent travel we forgot to post the link to our most recent CEP paper in E&ES. We will also try to make it accessible on our project webpage as soon as possible.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Some of you may have noticed that this is an "Advanced Article". This basically means that it is considered published but hasn't been assigned a spot in the print edition yet.

Re: Research Log: Updates from the Harvard Team

Johannes gave his last group meeting in the Aspuru-Guzik Group [and] discussed the things to come in the future.

Didn't have to be there to have a specific expectation of the CEP team: A viable alternative to the use of hydrocarbons, the conversion of which to useful energy is inefficient and so "dirty" at best and whose uneven distribution has driven geopolitical problems for a century and more...both issues tolerated only at great cost in terms of human life.

Is not so much to expect a handful of people to revolutionize humanity's future and help bring peace on Earth.
