I did not know him personally but knew who he was thru this project..... He will be missed by all that knew him..

This is so sad - Dave Bell has been a stalwart of WCG for many years, his contribution and help to others has been immense.
We have often conversed by email and I will miss him greatly - Rest In Peace my Friend  (I have been unable to be here or contribute for some time, so many thanks to Jean-Pierre for contacting me to let me know about this) |

Its an indication of the measure of the man of how much he was respected and loved by those on WGC.
----------------------------------------I was honored and priviledged to be a team mate of his on My Online Team and although we had few exchanges in the 4 years i have been a member his posts on the forums made me feel i knew him very well. I am genuinely very sad to hear he has passed on. The last few years had been particulary hard for him. But he bore it with huge spirit and bravery. A great and good man who will be hugely missed by all his comrades in Our Online Team and beyond. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. Rest In Peace Dave.     |

Just ventured upon this thread, been extremely busy of late.
While it is heart wrenching to read the news of Dave's passing, I feel warmth in the thought that somewhere Dave is continuing on with the cause of finding the cures to Man's ailments and plights. Crunch on forever Dave; you will be deeply missed here at the WCG. |

Good remembered GeraldRube.
----------------------------------------For sure we have an imense gap here and in the world since our friend go on... But I would like to think that perhaps by now, Dave are very happy in some i-place in the i-skies, changing some great histories with Steve Jobs, and help him feel more comfortable in the new home...

Thanks guys. It's good to see your posts here. I've been thinking quite a bit lately about what to do a week from Thursday (10/27 that is). It's a new kind of "first anniversary" for me. I do know that I'll be spending a lot of time thinking about those five years or so and all the IM chats and occasional phone calls. I still find myself chuckling about, when I'd check on him after not hearing from him, how quickly he'd update me about why he was in the VA each time and how long a report he'd give on the nurses. No mistaking where his priorites were!
