What you don't know is that every member on Vaio's team is treated as an equal and has the right to speak up and defend our good name...I reread what you wrote and I can now see between the lines.....You are upset because our thread is always on the top, plain and simple...So this is more of a case of YOU being jealous instead of us talking to much...The funny think is that you must be following our thread or else you would not know about its content....Change is good my friend, either adapt to it or watch the world pass you by...

----------------------------------------It seems there is some lively debate on this topic! Merlinus Apologies if you find the popularity of the forum with our team a problem. As pwrguru has stated, the forum does not indicate that this is a "recruiting only" forum, but is a place for team members to congregate and communicate. I appreciate that the chat forum may be intended for off-topic conversation, but if each thread is only related to one topic such as grid or ad-aware then there is no longer a single point of reference for team members to chat. I agree that a member lounge may be the place to do this, but in it's absence this appears to be the most appropriate place to have discussions. Another very valid point is that this method of recruiting has proven effective in the past... This is not just because the thread is seen as a popular thread but because it is a light hearted and friendly place full of approachable people who are happy to welcome members to join us and chat, join the team or not, share ideas etc. It's very friendly. I for one prefer this to teams who use their team threads purely for heavy-handed hard-sell recruiting tactics. People can join this team if they like, if they don't want to we don't mind, pop in and say hi. There's no pressure here! As pwrguru said, thank you for popping in and giving us your thoughts. |

this has been mentioned in the past...see posts dated around july5/6. merlinius, recruit in the manner you want. we want to recruit by showing we have a bit of spark in us. nothing against any of the other teams. also, please don't try and trash our thread...i personally have made a few assumptions about who you are already, and how you and several personalities on your team relate to someone over at grid forums, and with those assumptions, am not surprised to see you trying to thwart our efforts.

and how he knows lots of people are upset is beyond me, as there are no pm facilities here... it is but one thread, if one thread kills all of his efforts in recruiting, it must be a pretty good thread.  to the bc types around here...see my posting at our forum.  |

yep, i'm not too worried about it, just clearing up some of the bashing happening here.
 siscm...i saw you. you're good to go over there. I only keep the important stuff on one computer and I burn it to a disk once a week....Everything else can be lost and then found again...Why pray tell is the mousie formatting her laptop again ????.... yep...my stuff is kinda all over the place at the moment...well, all on cd now. formatting cause windows is being dumb as usual, spybot et al isn't finding what's eating at my cpu cycles...and linux been acting strange since my last update as well. besides, about due for a cleanup...it'll at least get my files a little more organized. |
