or we could strike a discussion up in the newly formed hardware thread here
---------------------------------------- would be useful to others that wanted to learn how to rig-build, too. not sure of any sites that are good for the complete noob....i more or less learned by trial and error. ![]() edit: here's a guide i just googled...some of the hardware recommendations appear outdated, but basically fill them in with newer parts and it'd work just fine. it'll give you an idea of how all that works...i'd say come back here for ideas of what components to buy, what's good, what's not, etc...[Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 23, 2005 11:18:02 PM] |

Thanks guys, much appreciated.
I don't mind having a go, just don't want to blow-up anything expensive with a STOOPID mistake As Mousie offered, I'm off to that hardware thread for my first question ![]() |

VAIO - you only learn by trying. PC stuff is usually pretty hard to blow up.

a team full of people with vaios
and yep, you won't blow anything up. i've put together one of my own from scratch(see rig showcase thread), and disassembled/reassembled many others....it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. never blew anything up, either. ![]() |
