---------------------------------------- I got my new cruncher running ... well sorta last night late. I had a fight with Ubuntu (and lost) so it is running Vista at the moment. Will tinker with it some more today. I would like it to run Clean Energy for now and for that, I need Ubuntu (or some other linux). Everyone have a great day. |

I wish to thank all of you that are paying into Social Security and Medicare here in the USA. I really think I will sleep better in the hospital bed you just bought me.

Hope I get some help here .. Since yesterday , my client keep showing msg "Communicating with BOINC Client" .. couldnt crunch anything ... Client version is latest

Hope I get some help here .. Since yesterday , my client keep showing msg "Communicating with BOINC Client" .. couldnt crunch anything ... Client version is latest If you're referring to the message that appears when you hover the mouse over the BOINC icon near the lower right corner of the screen, I've seen this happen once in a while. Normally, it will clear up if you right click on the icon and select open BOINC manager (or perhaps it says World Community Grid - BOINC Manager). When the window pops up, verify that everything is normal with your settings. If you are using the grid view, go to the projects tab, highlight World Community Grid and then select Update on the left side, which will contact the WCG servers and will cause WUs to be downloaded if you've run out. If you are using the simple view, I'm not sure where the equivalent function in. If the problem persists, start a thread BOINC agent support forum. It will get a wider audience there. - D |
