All of my machines are Linux, and they have all received WUs in this batch. In between, the messages about "No work available" or "There was work available but for other platforms" show up, but then eventually more WUs appear.
----------------------------------------DDDT2 is the only project I have checked to receive at the moment. ![]() |

Bring out the rain gear, there are more thunderstorms coming in the next few hours. The results from the test batch looked good, so we're putting the rest of the batches for ts02/typeC out and they should get picked up by BOINC in a few hours. In total, this is 271,341 work units (of which two copies of each will be sent out). The last batch of work units is ts02_d_g22_d211_to_d214_typeC. Seippel Last download, which in the tasks view looks different than the message log is: 19-01-2011 16:10 Finished download of ts02_a_g15_a141_to_a150_typeC_ts02_const_b8.prt.gzb With d_g22 as last batch, it seems like we're 15/22nd through downloading the "a_" if understanding the naming structure correctly. Per me abacus that's about 450,000 left to fetch. Seems the fetch is going at a rate presently of 45-50k per day, but that will surely slow down once the buffers are saturated. From the guess department :) [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 19, 2011 3:30:49 PM] |

So far only my Windows devices have been getting them, none for Linux or Mac. All meet the system requirements, share the same device profiles, and have been crunching for several months. Most of the WUs have gone to the newer Windows devices that I put online about a month ago. Luck of the draw, but interesting. Small amount of non-Windows wingmen out there I'm guessing. ![]() I'm just the opposite. All my Linux boxes have received WUs. My Windows box, nada. ![]()

I only have DDDT2 selected but my laptop still has 6 CEP2 WUs to complete before moving on. I have 4 machines (12 cores) which have downloaded 135 WUs with a 2 day cache. I also have 12 PV and 6 Valid. Things are now moving.

My Linux machines are still underfed per core with many empty cores idle and I'm running 25% CEP2 so the feeders are still way behind the demand. I only run a 0.1 day cache.

Out of interest, for the machines that are struggling to get enough tasks, what version of Boinc are they running?
----------------------------------------I see, almost without exception, that the ones of mine running 6.2.28 are struggling to get enough to fill their cache, whilst the 6.10.28 ones are managing to fill their cache with no need for user intervention. ![]() Crunching in memory of my Mum PEGGY, cousin ROPPA and Aunt AUDREY. |

Out of interest, for the machines that are struggling to get enough tasks, what version of Boinc are they running? If you think that is the problem, the you should upgrade. It might be a difference in the polling frequency.I see, almost without exception, that the ones of mine running 6.2.28 are struggling to get enough to fill their cache, whilst the 6.10.28 ones are managing to fill their cache with no need for user intervention. |
