The number of recent Valids I have fell from 46 a few hours ago to 40! The number in PV rose by 3, and the number IP fell by 7 to 3. Very odd saying as some valids from as far back as the 2nd Jan are still listed.

So far only my Windows devices have been getting them, none for Linux or Mac. All meet the system requirements, share the same device profiles, and have been crunching for several months. Most of the WUs have gone to the newer Windows devices that I put online about a month ago. Luck of the draw, but interesting. Small amount of non-Windows wingmen out there I'm guessing. Still mostly only Windows devices getting them. My Linux device has gotten 3 and the Intel Mac none. My Mac gets the typical messages: Fri Jan 21 07:00:05 2011 World Community Grid Message from server: No work can be sent for the applications you have selected Fri Jan 21 07:00:05 2011 World Community Grid Message from server: No work is available for Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2 Fri Jan 21 07:00:05 2011 World Community Grid Message from server: No work is available for Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together - Phase 2 (Type A) Fri Jan 21 07:00:05 2011 World Community Grid Message from server: You have selected to receive work from other applications if no work is available for the applications you selected Fri Jan 21 07:00:05 2011 World Community Grid Message from server: Sending work from other applications Poor Mac, 3 days and no DDDT2 WUs. I guess the device has been black-flagged as DDDT2 unreliable. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I am getting DDDT2 on all 4 of my Linux machines. I have NOT ticked to get work from other applications if none is available for DDDT2. Usually I get a few iterations of "no work available" in between successful requests for DDDT2. Maybe your Mac would have better luck if you uncheck?

Still mostly only Windows devices getting them. My Linux device has gotten 3 and the Intel Mac none. My Intel Mac has a full cache. It's using the same device profile and WiFi connection as another Windows 7 cruncher. [Edit 1 times, last edit by deltavee at Jan 21, 2011 3:22:40 PM] |

I like linux. Whenever I see that there is some rain I enlarge my caches and start a simple script:
----------------------------------------while true; do sleep 60; BOINC/boinccmd --project www.worldcommunitygrid.org update; done Another xterm to verify that there is no "... [World Community Grid] Requesting new tasks for GPU" message in the stdoutdae.txt and when the cache is filled I stop my script. No need to press the "update"-button in the Boinc manager window, just sitting there relaxed and watch the raindrops falling. :-) 24 WUs collected and counting ... Bring out the rain gear, there are more thunderstorms coming in the next few hours. The results from the test batch looked good, so we're putting the rest of the batches for ts02/typeC out and they should get picked up by BOINC in a few hours. In total, this is 271,341 work units (of which two copies of each will be sent out). The last batch of work units is ts02_d_g22_d211_to_d214_typeC. Seippel Last download, which in the tasks view looks different than the message log is: 19-01-2011 16:10 Finished download of ts02_a_g15_a141_to_a150_typeC_ts02_const_b8.prt.gzb With d_g22 as last batch, it seems like we're 15/22nd through downloading the "a_" if understanding the naming structure correctly. Per me abacus that's about 450,000 left to fetch. Seems the fetch is going at a rate presently of 45-50k per day, but that will surely slow down once the buffers are saturated. From the guess department :) It doesn't look like the 3rd section of the name stops at g22. I just saw a g35. If the sequence goes through ts02_(a,b,c)_(a-z)(01-99)_(a-z)001_to_(a-z)999 before we get to the ts02_d_#######, we may be in for weeks for drizzle.
