Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Hope that comes across.

My head hurts just thinking about it!

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

To anticipate anyone who might get shocked, there are shorties too, real shorties when you know them to run 4.5 hours or more, time and again for the "pr" and that dented the total cache hours expectation quite a bit:

ts05_ d054_ pr67a1_ 1-- 617 Valid 31-8-10 21:33:33 1-9-10 00:10:52 0.44 2.8 / 5.1
ts05_ d054_ pr67a1_ 0-- 617 Valid 31-8-10 21:33:28 1-9-10 19:19:30 0.29 5.1 / 5.1

Perfect clean cache logs for both.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I suppose if I were to keep hitting update on all my clients for about 3 hours I could queue up a few days worth. I don't have that kind of time so my systems barly have enough to stay crunching.
A few type A would be nice right about now (hint hint).

I have 5 active machines set to receive C4CW and DDDT2. I just got (15 minutes ago) my first DDDT2 WU since Aug 23rd.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I have 3 active computers with only C4CW and DDDT2 projects ticked.
Why don't I get any DDDT2 tasks.
I get plenty C4CW and other non selected projects like FAAH and HPFH2 but no DDDT2. What's going on here?

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

zaschf , DDDT2 wus are rare (elite, exceptional, whatever :D). to get DDDT@ wu, you can uncheck all other projects and "get work from other projects", increase cache in BOINC and update WCG project several times. You may get few WUs, but it's not guaranteed, and also WCG will ban the host for a few hours after like 10 or 15 requests in a row. Dont forget to decrease cache and then check back all needed projects

You get other WUs because there could be some WU outages on C4CW for your platform..

Hi,

Plz ref to last paragraph of Dr. Stan Watowich post at top of the DDDT2 forum discussing why the supply interruptions appear. For when actual work is loaded for this research follow posts by the WCG techs uplinger and seippel

http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28527

When none of the selected work is available and you have selected the ''If no work ... " option, the client is send random work from other researches that have work available at that time. You can increase the cache / additional buffer to for instance 2 days and de-select the "if no work..." option, but it's not recommended when only 1 research is selected. On multiple, there's usually always something.
