Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

ZoSo do what i did.. grab 1/2 a day of something else... then swap around and try to grab another 1/2 day + of DDDT-2... as long as you check twice a day and see if you need to grab more WU's cause your not getting enough DDDT-2 it works just fine

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

As a dedicated follower of rare rain fashion, set all clients to only receive these and seem to have got 24 days worth when I looked in this morning. 1 client for unknown reason went bonkers, though it only has less than 6 days per core in cache, but found that it's the 'trick' that is causing this, so set it back to default and operating mode returned to normal. You see, it (the rain) was Anthropogenic after all, some have a real hard time accepting this though :P

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Raining?? I got a whole Back-Bent Occlusion in the track direction overhead.

Now it's time for my wingmen to throw away their umbrella's and start crunching, so that my 13 days of pending validation tasks will be granted and I can admire my first (bronze) DDDT2 badge.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

New word for this and the previous rain hallelujah thread: "Occlusion". Like so many words I've read and heard and understood in context, but never looked them up for English... from Merriam-Websters... out of Latin (and spelled in Italian identically) "occludere", of course:

1: Breath taking blockage (due a coronary occlusion)

2: the front formed by a cold front overtaking a warm front and lifting the warm air above the earth's surface.

Yeah, the weatherman IS in.

Crunching On.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I'm curious: are even B's and C's being sent only to reliable machines now?

My reliable machine has gotten 14 new DDDT2 WUs since yesterday, but my machine that doesn't always return results within 48 hours hasn't gotten any.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Neither B (7 day deadline) or C (10 day deadline) are reserved for reliable hosts. B only gets a higher priority in the feeder so they reach crunchers before the C type. Going to a reliable host is dictated by the priority code which is out of the box set for the A type to 10. Any task that gets that 10 or higher goes to a reliable host. Repairs always have 10 added to the original priority, so when it becomes I think 11 for B type, they go again before C type repairs. which start with 0 when part of the init distribution of Quorum 2.

Hope that comes across.
