Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I finally got back to this thread to see what answers I may have gotten for my query about whether or not my devices are considered to be reliable. From all that I have read after going to the Start Here EAQ index (Reliable Device Rating & Impact on Rush Tasks), my devices should be considered reliable. I may not have made my query explicit enough in that I am trying to find out what category of requirements my devices may be failing to meet in order to be in the list of reliable devices and how do I get them on this list.

Is there some function I can use to tell me the information which I am trying to find?

Hi dkt, I don't believe there's an actual parameter or suchlike that is visible to us mere mortal crunchers per-se - except for when we actually see repair units come to our machine(s).

Basically though, if your machine(s) is returning WU's within 2 days on a regular basis and have very few errors, then there's a good chance that your machine(s) will fall into the reliable class.

Unfortunately though, with the scarcity of DDDT2 WU's and the number of people who are exclusively looking for them, the odds are not stacked in your favour as to getting the odd one which may/may not be floating around...

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

15,000 new rain drops coming within the next 12 hours. These rain drops split into two copies on the way down...so enjoy :) all type C rain drops.

On a non weather note, these are ts06 work units again to test some more variables to fine tune the variables needed for further testing.

On the backend we are working on preruns for 3 more targets.

Thanks again for your patience and participation,
-Uplinger

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

...Just had 4 C4CW but they are still on the standard 40% rule of original deadline. May the techs do not want to push these jobs to only the reliable devices. They'll be snatched up anyhow by the exclusive crunchers...
Sekerob, or anybody, how do I determine if any of my machines are in the reliable device category?

If your client receives short deadline, non-Beta jobs you know :D

For Beta, does not matter what rating... could be a high error rate device, long as daily quota has not been used up (up to 80 per core per day). A client gets them when enrolled in the program and asking for work when there is any in the hopper.
