@RT: even for hosts with DDDT2 only project selection, the current DDDT weather is really dry sad
Yves

Thanks. I understand. I had several quads that would only take DDDT2 and Beta and had a queue length of 1 day. They almost ran dry (would have had it not been for the Betas). So I added back C4CW and set the queues to 1/3 day waiting for more DDDT2s.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

The hording is really something on this project. I have 430 WUs pending validation.

Guilty. I only have one machine tho. It can however fit a fair few WU's into it's cache.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

The last rains were followed by over 715,000 results validating since August 12, or 18353 per day, today an anticipated trickle back of some 11,000. Have 2 crunching here now and 2 in PV parking, then needing 24 CPU days worth to cause goldness become rubyness.

The last deluge showed much less aggressive bucketing than the previous, or at least the performance chart shows a much lower peaking than the previous run... it's wearing and waring this rain stalking.

This phase has so far collected 954,000 droplets of varying sizes coming downstream.

For now Crunching On, on other WCG researches. :D

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Over the last few days I have received a few repair WUs after the originals timed out (No Reply). However, all the the repair WUs that I saw in my work caches have had 10-day deadlines.

Are the researchers/techs not in a hurry to get this batch of work completed and out of the server active work-units area, or is the 10-day deadline an oversight?

Example:
ts05_ b171_ sr34a1_ 2-- In Progress 9/19/10 15:16:33 9/29/10 15:16:33 0.00 0.0/0.0 <-- moi
ts05_ b171_ sr34a1_ 1-- Pending Validation 9/9/10 15:16:39 9/10/10 14:40:46 1.64 20.5/0.0
ts05_ b171_ sr34a1_ 0-- No Reply 9/9/10 15:16:34 9/19/10 15:16:34 0.00 0.0/0.0

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Interesting, an exact to the second 10 day deadline and send out before the No Reply expired (1 second ;>). The only exception rule known is the extra time allowed to slow devices, in the sense that they on average need allot more computing time than 'normal', but that would be stretching it... too coincidental.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

A quick update.

The researchers have lots of the results from ts05. They are examining them at this time. They need to verify a majority of the results before we start working on the next target.

Thank you for your patience and when more rain comes. We'll let you know.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Well, half since there was no reaction to the 10 day deadline bit on repairs/no replies.

Just had 4 C4CW but they are still on the standard 40% rule of original deadline. May the techs do not want to push these jobs to only the reliable devices. They'll be snatched up anyhow by the exclusive crunchers.

So much fun... these "fill in the blank" games ;>)

(and have none left in PV now)
