Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

The hording is really something on this project. I have 430 WUs pending validation.

two days ago 1 has 480 pv, today it's 420 pv, and 5 in progress.

I just kick 'em out as fast as I can, then let the hours and points roll in whenever they roll in. After all, I've done my part wink

Pretty much never go over a 2 day cache, I tried to go higher on this round but i think only one box ever got full up.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

My IP list is coming down rapidly. A week ago I was at 96 pages IP and now down to under 1.5 days cache. So what COULD have happened that would have encouraged me to have less than a 5 day cache?

1. Project not be intermittent. (Controlled by the scientists)
2. WU being released continuously at a slow rate (now being down)
3. Provided weekly totals of WU remaining to be issued. (Ah Ha!)

If WCG had told us that DDDT2 WU were going to be released in a slow steady stream for most of Aug and Sept, my cache would have been 1.5 days at most. Instead, I think, we have had 3 notices that the supply was finite and no notice that has changed, just an unexpected appearance of more work.
The hording is really something on this project
Finally, you (and others) use the work 'hoarding' in a way that makes it sound like a bad thing. If a 5 day cache was a bad thing for the system, it would not be allowed. I understand that you want the outstanding credit. I did too when I had 196 PAGES of HCMD2 PV. I want my credit too with my current 22 pages of PV, but I am secure knowing that I have less than 1% failure rate once I finish a WU.

Sapphire tomorrow and back to .5 day cache on Saturday (250 WU/day) cool

Sorry if I offended anyone. Generally I do not pay that much attention to the PV queues but I was curious as my point totals were down and I did not know why. Anyway no offence intended. I suppose all the badge hunters are trying to finish this one up to get on to clean water and clean energy. (self included blushing ) Everyone have a great day and thanks for contributing. smile

RT,
Wasn't offended, and hope I didn't offend either!

Used to look sideways at it whe numbers weren't jumping but now I look at it like I'm ahead of the game and PV's=money in the bank
smile

Speaking of Badge hunting, color me guilty.
I'm at 1:340:23 for DDD2 and *really* have my fingers crossed the pv's will give me sapphire. Why i like short caches- I get those repair and quick turnaround jobs-just had a couple 4 day turnaround DDD2's roll in, every little bit helps biggrin

Another reason I'm furiously trying to get the next level on everything- Due to circumstances beyond my control I'm going to be losing 24 cores in the near future crying

Sorry to hear you are losing 24 cores. 24 cores makes a big difference!

Say, where did you get that fancy display at the bottom of your posts? It looks interesting.

Edit> WU queues almost dried up. (Set to 1 day) Now running lots of Betas.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I would say that it is dry over here...but how could I since my queues are full of clean water. Any ideas on when we will see some more DDDT2s?
