Got lucky and pulled 90 on one cruncher that I dedicated to this project for a day. Crunched pretty fast, 1 to 3 hrs credit per wu. No errors yet, allot pending credit though.

It seems that this shower is over. Post on: Jun 22, 2012 7:36:28 PM I do not think so. At least not quite over. I picked up some later than that. My latest was this one: 22-Jun-2012 23:41:57 [World Community Grid] Requesting new tasks 22-Jun-2012 23:42:00 [World Community Grid] Scheduler request completed: got 1 new tasks 22-Jun-2012 23:42:02 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_c208.prm.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:02 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_c208.rtf.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:04 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_dg05_c208_gsbp_param_18.str.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:04 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_dg05_c208_dg05_mij_18.dat.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:07 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_dg05_c208_dg05_phi_18.dat.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:07 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_dg05_c208_gsbp_18_1.psf.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:11 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_dg05_c208_gsbp_18_2.crd.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:13 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_const_para_dg05_c208_equ.str.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:14 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_dg05_c208_ave_lig.crd.gzb 22-Jun-2012 23:42:15 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g21_c201_to_c210_typeC_restr_defWCG0006GCW.str.gzb P.s.: It just occurred to me. My clock in this listing is in my local time. And perhaps your clock is too. And perhaps we are in different time zones. I am in Eastern Daylight Savings Time (near New York City). |

Seeing a g23_c221 in the log, of the C group, then the D group. Almost half way of the first half. (If sounding too complicated, 1/4th of total ;>)

Seeing a g23_c221 in the log, of the C group, then the D group. My highest one so far is 23-Jun-2012 02:49:51 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g23_c221_to_c230_typeC_c230.prm.gzb ... 23-Jun-2012 02:49:56 [World Community Grid] Started download of dg05_c_g23_c221_to_c230_typeC_solv_chg_b0.prt.gzb I have cut my queue size from 9.25 days to 5.25 days both to share work units with others, and because I am getting so many (for a change) that I am starting to be concerned about finishing them all by the deadline. I am pretty sure I can still do all that I have, but getting more would start to be a problem. |

I caused >50 tasks to error (my fault, sorry) about 20 hours ago. Tried to get as many tasks as possible into LAIM at once. I was watching Windows Task Manager graphs while doing that, it had only used 2.2 of 8 GB RAM at that time. Caused a lengthy "communicating with Boinc Manager" hang and a Windows warning pop-up that there isn't enough memory for one DDDT2 application, and all tasks failed. Surprisingly, i got another 5 days of cache without any reliability penalties (at least it looks like that). Had the Boinc client set to use 0% paging, 90% for active and inactive memory. Switched now to use 70% paging.
----------------------------------------Yep, as noted above, be careful with caching up. The p----- tasks are much longer than the s----- tasks, but the estimates are equal for both. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 23, 2012 1:46:26 PM] |
