Per post uplinger there are 5,000 in the hopper to test different durations to produce different outcomes the scientist are in need of... of course with the beta parms set, no graphics, just a black screen with a progress bar on the left side :D

My Win 32, win 64 and Linux 64 computers have all received their share in the last few minutes; and like the others, I've put them up front... :-)

Oooh a sneaky beta test, just got back from the pub to find 3 beta WU's across 2 machines.
----------------------------------------No love for my linux 64bit machine though :( Edit: Linux love! Just got 4 for my quad. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Anarki at Aug 24, 2010 11:17:30 PM] |

At 50% these beta3 versions look to be finishing in almost the exact double time of the present production version. A likable run time, some 2:50 hours.

I've got one 4'th the way down the list, where's the "Force" button?
----------------------------------------Edit: Wrote too soon, I found on a few posts where they say to "Suspend" the other jobs. I've got 3 FAAH wu's and 1 C4CW wu on a host. I suspend the FAAH jobs and the C4CW automatically also suspended. So, just like another post I read, it's "FIFO". Never mind the noise from me. rilian and others,
----------------------------------------As per Uplinger's post referenced in Sek's opening post there are two sizes of betas in this test, so if you report times don't forget to say if it is for beta3 or beta4 WUs. As far as I can see with two beta3 WUs currently running the checkpointing period is the same as for the curent production ones. So these WUs are still suitable for machines which need frequent checkpoints (e.g. notebooks, slower/older machines). |

I found on a few posts where they say to "Suspend" the other jobs. I've got 3 FAAH wu's and 1 C4CW wu on a host. I suspend the FAAH jobs and the C4CW automatically also suspended. codes,- either you have suspended tasks in the task list and you have also highlighted the C4CW beta accidentally before clicking Suspend - or you have suspended at project level and then all tasks in the list have been suspended - or by chance some other suspend cause (benchmark, suspend while computer is used, etc...) has happened and all tasks have been suspended as a result. If you are in the first case simply resume the C4CW beta individually and that's it. |
