It is mentally exhausting trying to learn the new system. I think they're over confident in my abilities. It's always tough learning something new. We are all comfortable with what we already know. In time the new will become the old and we will be comfortable with it. Don't down play your abilities, we are our own worse critics. It's obvious they've seen something in your skill set to know you are right for the job.....Hang in there....In my experience, my worse day at work was still better than my best day unemployed !!!! I worked there 8 years ago which is why they called me back. Problem is the job has changed so much and a new computer system makes it as if I never worked in the industry before. I'm getting to old for this. I'm a technological dinosaur. Have a great day. Off to work I go.

I'm getting to old for this. I'm a technological dinosaur. Damon...I know the feeling. I'm no spring chicken either. I see these young eager workers pick up new technology like it's nothing. Now I, on the other hand, need to really work to get the hang of this new fangled stuff. It doesn't come that easy. But I'll do my best to to learn and understand it because unlike the dinosaur I refuse to go extinct.  PS. The powers that be have just informed me yesterday that I am to learn a new application that was acquired.  It will be a hassle but I'll have another tool in my professional toolbox to take with me where ever I go job wise. Although I hope I will not have to go job hunting soon. I'm definitely getting too old for that headache.  |

You said it Chris. If I have to change jobs again in my life I believe the stress and anxiety just might kill me.
