I used to have that problem David, till I turned them all off (back then there were 24 here in the house) and the bill dropped a whole $20 month. Yes I know you have servers but power usage per processor on a server compared to a desktop makes them even cheaper to opererate.
And yes I know the only way you'll ever prove that to Sally is to pull the plug and wait for the next power bill.

Maybe you can tell her that you save money on your heating bill during the winter from the heat your systems put out and it balances out in the long run. wink

I tried that approach, but she countered with the question of how much more the bill is going to be to offset the additional cooling to void the heat impact in the summer. All I can do is hope the bill doesn't change significantly over the next billing cycle.
