Thanks David. You're right I would've done the same for you. Problem is I think I'm way down the debit column with you.

Off to work I go.

Y'all have a great day. cool

Re: Join The International Team

Chris, great that you get days off. It could just be whay you need to get some energy and mening of life back :)

Hmm...just as i was working with the servers I got a problem with my main PC. First I thought that the BSODs I got were due to the relatively new RAM I installed, 8GB instead of 4GB earlier. But now I am starting to suspect it could be the fourth core that is weak in my unlocked AMD Phenom II X3 720, since I tried to turn down RAM speed and changed everything else to stock except that I kept the fourth core unlocked and after a couple of days of stress test I got a BSOD indicating hardware error.

So, now I have locked back the fourth core so I am running at X3 and let's see if I stop getting BSODs now in a couple of days.

Sad if that is what is causing the problem, to lose a core :(
But maybe some more voltage to the CPU/NB and Vcore will do the trick? :)

Well, what I am trying to say is also that my WU results count may be somewhat lower for a while, while I am investigating...

Just waiting for the Bulldozer architecture and hopefully I'll have enough cash by then :) (AMD fan that I am)
Be well everyone!

Good morning.....Sometimes it seems the more rest you get the more tired you become.

Leo....I hope you get back on track soon....I'm sure you'll figure it out !!!!

Re: Join The International Team

It's true that too much rest will make you more tired, but the same goes for too much work, right? So it's nicer to be tired from rest than from work :)

Yea, I'll figure it out. Testing 24/7 now since every test requires around two days of continuous stress test before blue screen :(

Re: Join The International Team

Hello all together!

Leo... Funny question - when did you last clean your main PC (case, coolers, fans)? I'm having same problems sometimes and it means "time to unpack my vacuum cleaner" for me.
If your setup worked for a long time before, there is no reason why it should stop now.
On the other side it could be a result of changed project choice. Some projects heating the CPU more than other. E.g. my main CPU is 10C warmer while crunching CEP2 in comparison to HFCC. 10C more would be a good reason for BSOD.
And I would better go down with the clock than to lose the 4th core.
Good luck in bringing your system on track!

hey!... I've just got my first blue badge! biggrin
