Only 6591 points between MOT and TW yesterday - Let's reel them in :-))

Ok deep breath.... I'll have to face the M25 soon crying

CompuDude has made it to 4 Million. Congratulations 'Dude. What can you say, awesome crunching power.

cyberwire has smashed the 1/2 Million Milestone in just 50 days a very consistent 10K a day !!!!

and jwilson15304 has become the 50th Member of the MOT 6 digit club applause (jwilson15304 I have received your email today - one more flag waving on the Team Rankings List)

Maddogstl, AStafford, MWAYNE and Alain Bryden are all waiting in the wings in the 90's

An interesting little battle of the Brit's is developing between g@dget, Jonathon Wright and Fury on who's going to be first to 1/4 Million - I suspect it will be wilsondr wink

Last but not least we made it to the grand total of over 24,000,000 points together.

And the Headline says it all 264,207 points, our 3 best showing ever, we made it to 3am on the 9th March in year 2 just yesterday. We need to throw another PC on the fire and keep that pressure on - that gap is not so big to that 3rd place.

Come on Team
Dave

Re: laughing laughing Woes of the M25 laughing laughing

Hey Graham it's no joke. A Horse got loose yesterday on the M25/M4 Junction yesterday going home complete mayhem.

I start tomorrow publishing a new MOT Stat - how long it takes me to get around the M25 in the morning and evening. You just have to disengage engine and disengage brain silly otherwise you would go nuts.

smile Good Afternoon David
biggrin It was just tongue in cheek mate
I can fuly appreciate what you are going through, as I used to work for Micro-Route Logistics in Croydon and I had to travel down the M40 from Birmingham and go round the M25 to get to their depot in Croydon every Friday, to return all the old IBM PCs that I had removed from the Safeway stores dotted all over the country.
I left home in Birmingham at 5:00am to hit the M25 at 6:30am and by the time I got to the depot and had my van unloaded for me and started back on the return trip, it would usually take 4 hours to get from Croydon to the M40 north junction
I was lucky to get home by 5pm, it was usually a 12 hour round trip and it was the only part of the job i literally dreaded
I just can not visualise how you manage to do it five days a week and stay sane as the stress level must be horrendous
I would be attending an anger management course as I would not be able to cope with it
You have my respect for your tenacity in going through that hell every day to make a living

Re: laughing laughing Woes of the M25 laughing laughing

Graham ,

I just love the way words can't express the smile on your face when you reply to messages on the forum

tongue in cheek as was my reply. The graphic is excellent that's the scene is the one I have to face every morning at work.

For the record this morning 1 hour to do the 47.7 Miles (I don't understand those Km things) to the M25 and then 49 Minutes to do the 31.1 Mile stretch of the M25 finish that off with about 5 mins to get to a certain retailers site and whoopee the start of another day. (And that's a good day wink )

Thank goodness for the now Notorious "Purple Stress Balls"

Take care

I'll chat tonight when I get back

I have pictures and movies of this mornings little trip I'll post them on the site

Must go and do some work.

Regards

dave

Re: laughing laughing Woes of the M25 laughing laughing

I spent years on a 28mi drive in the Southwest Freeway into Downtown Houston. (about 75mph if you left the house before 6AM). My office was on the 46th floor and some mornings I could look out on top of the clouds (actually just ground fog) off to the South and see the refineries and chemical plants on the ship channel (lovely site); actually was kind of neat as the sun was coming up.

Now my Commute is out of the bathroom, through the bedroom, down the hall stopping for coffee in the kitchen, through the living room and into my study. This takes <2 minutes if the coffee is already made. smile Of course it took me 34 years of working at the university and at the Corporations places before I could manage it.

Welcome new Members and Congratulations to all you milestone people. I have one coming up soon. biggrin

Re: laughing laughing Woes of the M25 laughing laughing

2 hours and 10 getting home

so that's at least 20 hours a week on top of the full time job on a good travelling day.

Thanks I never realised just how mad that is

With another 5 hours getting ready to go to work

56 hours of sleep

~9 hours eating at Home

that leaves just 38 hours of "free time" left in the week with which to go shopping, watch the tele, read those PC mags to find that cheapest motherboard and otherwise filling your mind and time with the culture and wonder of the world.

Just worked it out it must be Friday already wink

Got to dash I'm already late for the rest of my life tongue

If you get a spare minute please could you spend it wisely download the WCG Agent start it crunching then sign up with the MOT Crew.

Going to catch some of those 56 Hours sleep

Night
shhh
